FILM MAKING WORKSHOPS
Working in schools facilitating / guiding the students in making a short film. It has very much been about a student focussed effort, from script writing, budgeting and production skills and technical experience, (i.e camera operation, special effects creation, set design and build).

Outcomes and skills developed for this kind of project are team work, creative expression, discipline, (film making is a disciplined art form), self esteem and loads of fun!
These are stills from a project at Cotham School, Bristol, as part of the Be Active program. I ran this workshop in 5 sessions over several weeks and managed 9 other film makers who made competing films in other schools around Bristol. The films were screened at the Watershed Media centre with an awards ceremony. The program ran for 4 years. Resulting films can be seen below.

The Be Active program required the students to produce a film with a sports / activities / health and fitness theme. The film we produced was called 'Enhanced' and you can see it here: PLAY

I ended up being roped in to playing an older version of one of the characters.
